God has always been looking and longing for a people who would believe in Him....not only in the fact that He exist, but also in His Holy Word, the Bible. According to His very own testimony, He and this Word are One and the same. They agree entirely!
Some people say that "you never know what God is going to do." You can! He will always act in full agreement with His written Word. For Him to oppose it in any way, shape, or form would be a sin. God cannot sin! What He says is "the Law" and He is a Keeper of it, explicitly. Besides...an unlawful Being would be less than perfect and God is perfect in every way.
All that we can see and all that still as yet remains invisible to us was brought into existence by His Word. The more of it you grab a hold of with your heart, the more of Him you will have insight into. God's Word, in essence, is a personal revelation of our Creator Himself. To say you believe in Him and not His words to you is utter nonsense.
Many say that they have "faith." What they are really professing is that they believe that there is a God or that they believe the doctrines of their particular denomination to be true. That's fine.. as long as those beliefs coincide with the logos or God's written Word.
Faith is an action word. To have faith is to rely on Someone so much that you are willing to act on whatever it is they tell you, before any physical manifestation of it occurs. It may be something that you cannot behold as yet in a physical sense, but it is vitally real to you in your heart and mind because of your confidence in that individual who gave you His Word concerning the matter. To say you believe after the fact, is ridiculous...because honestly.. who needs faith for that? God says that when you keep His Words, He will in retrospect manifest Himself to you. What a promise!
Believing is seeing and not the other way around as some would lead you to accept. When you really believe something with every fiber of your being, you will see it in your mind's eye first and then what you see plastered across the wall of your imagination will appear before your very eyes and everyone else's to God's praise and glory. That's the process of faith. The power in the Word of God makes that process possible. Faith arises in a person's heart by hearing and hearing the Word of God, so apart from it...no man, woman or child can say that they are operating in true bible faith at all.
God is forever faithful to His Word (alone) and when a person will seriously take Him at it... He will in turn show Himself strong on their behalf. It's not even a matter of being good.. for there's no one good in themselves but God! Man is imperfect and therefore needs Perfection to see him through. We are children of God, not gods unto ourselves. We need our Creator and it is His heart's desire to meet our every need scripturally. What good Father wouldn't provide for His own if He could? To not do so, would make Him an infidel. God is not any such thing!
How some think of God is utterly shameful. It grieves His heart to hear those who ignorantly confess that He is uncaring or neglectful in any way. God is love and in spite of our inadequacies, He adores us to the utmost. He worships the ground we walk on. Did you know that? Don't you parents do the same when it comes to your children? With a Heart that is totally and completely unselfish in everyway, His Word states that He prizes us above all else in His Creation. For this reason, He was not willing to lose us to the consequences of sin. He is merciful, yet just! For us, there is always hope, but that hope alone can be found only in the one true God.
Undeserving as we are, we have been absolutely forgiven through the shed blood sacrifice of Jesus "the Christ" and not by our own efforts. Jesus was "Love" personified. God made man. In Him, the demonstration of the Heart of God was and is portrayed. Like the Word of God itself, He is yet another expression of the invisible God made visible for all to witness. Out of His own mouth came the words, "to see Me is to see the Father."
In His earthly ministry, Jesus was sort by those that most people wouldn't give the time of day to. He fed the hungry, healed the oppressed of the devil, raised the dead, cared for the uncared for and forgave the repentant sinner. He is the God of "the second chance." Would Someone called God do any less?
2,000 yrs. have come and gone since this God in flesh walked the face of the earth... yet time cannot erase His Name or His passion for us from mankind's memory banks. God would not let us forget Him altogether. He alone is truly Lord of lords and worthy of all our honor and glory and praise! Who else has ever died in your place to secure your justification? The Sinless for the sinner, the Spotless for the sin ridden? Now that's love, wouldn't you say? God giving His all for those so unworthy...yet He chooses to call us "His heart's delight."
To Him who never changes, you are a Somebody! You always have been! To Him who lives still, you and I matter most. Why is it then that we give so little thought and attention to One who gave so much to all of us and keeps on giving continuously? His mercy knows no end and His kindness towards mankind is too good to be true, but true nonetheless. It is by His favor that we are saved: spiritually, soulishly, physcially, financially and socially. Your best deeds do not impress Him. He is only impressed by your everyday belief or faith in who He is, what He represents and all that He so desperately longs to give you. He stands for all that your heart longs for....He's your Papa, your Daddy and your His offspring. In Him alone is where you will discover true completeness and total satisfaction. Only He can fill that empty gap in your life!
In its simpliest form, God (Love) created you for Himself to cherish and fellowship with forever. His prayer is that you earnestly crave Him in return. From the start, He hungered for a people who would seek Him out. He's wooing you to Himself right now for that very reason. His promise is that when we seek Him with all of our hearts...we will find Him!
To those who haven't connected with Him thus far, His Spirit is hovering over you, at this very moment... waiting... yearning to be invited into your heart and life. He wants to change for you those things that you struggle with and your best attempts to resolve, have failed at. Only with God are all things possible!
He is the gentliest of gentlemen, not a tyrant as some would have you believe. With Him you have rights! He'll never force Himself or His ways upon you. All that happens to you in this world is a matter of right or wrong choices....yours! Your life is yours to master or yours to throw away on a daily basis. He said "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life," meaning all that is done out of line with His Word and His Spirit will cost you more than you want to pay.
God is His Word. To love it, is to love Him. To embrace it, is to be folding your arms around Him. To live by it, is to be walking each day in the companionship of your Heavenly Father, with His power at your disposal. To disregard it, is to shun His Person. What hope for you is there then?
Far too many people unknowingly cling to church traditions which are actually just doctrines handed down from generation to generation that have there source in men. There are so many untruths in religion that bring forth nothing but defeat, frustration, deprivation, bondage and confusion. God's Word is Truth and this Truth is designed to set us free whenever we make the quality decision to follow after it. God cares too much for us to ever abandon His own to their own whims. It is the function of a good parent to guide his or her children onward. "The Parent from Whom all parents initally came from has elected to do the very same thing for us through His written Word. Perhaps now you can understand why some in the world are acting like spoiled, unruly, undisciplined and unrestrained brats. Outside of God, there is no lasting restraint for them.
Decide to lean on God's manual for living today and as a result you will begin to live the life that your Creator intended for you to live from the foundations of the earth. I've heard it said that none of us comes with a set of instructions. Ahhhh, but we do! Check it out today.......
