The Gospel of John
(gospel means "good news") God had this Book written for the purpose of sharing some "GOOD NEWS" with the reader of it!
Are you ready for some Good News in your life?

Verse 1: In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, (these sayings of God-His Word that came forth from His heart existed at first within Him) and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. (these sayings spoken from His heart became a "He", the Person of God's unique son=Jesus Christ (John 1:14 & 18 sheds more light on this, as we will see). Both, His sayings and His Son, are an exact representation and revelation of Himself in physical form for all to behold, for all to be with.  Any interaction with God's Word or God's Son is an interaction with God Himself! ("The Word was God-verse 1!”) 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. (Nothing exist apart from the sayings of God = in Genesis 1 this statement is made over and over and over again... "God said it and it was") 4 In him was life (His is an existence apart from every aspect of death) and "that life" was the light of all mankind. (within this Being called God is all the insight and revelation that you will ever need.  He's YOUR ANSWER, He's YOUR SOURCE of all!) 5 The light shines in the darkness, (with God there is always a way to be made even when there appears to be no way at all) and the darkness has not overcome it. (True Light (John 8:12) can only expell darkness, no matter how dark it gets/the spirit of darkness = satan himself = is no match for the True Light Being. "God is light; in him there is no darkness at all" (1 John 1:5)
6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John (a reference to God working through John the Baptist in the earth. A man called/chosen by God and selected for the job). 7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light (his gift from God was to prepare people for the coming of their Savior/ Jesus Christ/ God made flesh), so that through him all might believe (Romans 2:4 "...realizing that God’s kindness (goodness) is intended to lead you to repentance (to a change of heart)."  That seeing the nature of their God exposed before their very eyes, they might choose to believe in all He represents; therefore, believing in Him. 8 He himself was not the light (John the Baptist was not the Savior); he came only as a witness to the light. (God's representative/ambassador in the earth who went before Him....2 Corinthians 5:20) 9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.  10 He was in the world (in Spirit form, in Word form to an extent) and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him (the world didn't really know or have any intimacy with Him.... yet, that was and His heart's desire)
