Sickness Does Not Have to Have the Final Say!  God's Word Can......
My 9 week old daughter, Madison, had a cold  which moved into her lungs.  Needless to say she was not a happy girl.  She was stuffed up and coughing all the time!  Being so small made it very hard for her to breath.  She wasn’t sleeping too well, so she was cranky.  And needless to say, I was a mess…I couldn’t stand to see my infant sick.  After bringing her to the doctor's office twice and being told there was not much they could do (because she was too young for medicine), I was even worse.  The doctor did have me give her breathing treatments (which still didn’t help very much).  So I tried to be faithful to God and believe in Him for her healing, but, every time Madison coughed, I lost my faith. It was difficult to focus on the Word of God over my sick baby.  I missed bible study that week because I thought  Madison needed her rest, but rest wasn't the answer.  My little girl was sick for two weeks.  I didn’t want to miss bible study again the following week, so we went; my husband, my two little girls (Madison's 2 yr. old sister, Molly) and I.  Both my pastor and our assistant pastor prayed over Madison quoting God’s Word that says's she didn’t have to be sick.  I received that Word as God speaking to me about her situation.  That night, the cold left her for good!  She was able to get a good night's sleep and there was no more coughing!!!  Thank you Jesus!
